For some of my handmade books/ journals - I use my own colored / dyed paper ...
Vivid orange and rust brown pigments used.
Heat-fixed /ironed in the end (one by one).
 

.. I dye also my threads / ropes / bookbinding fabrics etc...
Together with paper those combinations are of a beautiful match/harmony.
